Cold Brook Farm 2024 Certified Organic Redeemer Wheat

Our 2024 Redeemer Wheat was planted on October 12, 2023, into lightly disked soil that had previously been cover cropped with Buckwheat, Sunn Hemp, Sunflower, Sorghum-Sudangrass and Turnips for natural weed suppression and soil fertility. We hand-weeded on four separate occasions throughout the growing season and harvested under perfect conditions on July 2, 2024.

The Regenerative agricultural practices we use at Cold Brook Farm allow us to grow nutrient-dense, delicious food that helps restore the health of soil, people, communities, and planet.

* Please note that although our grains are all Certified Organic and all our processing equipment is used exclusively with organic grains, we have not yet applied to be a Certified Organic Processor and so our flour and porridge cannot be sold as “Certified Organic.” Instead, our back label bears a statement saying,“Milled from 100% Certified Organic Wheat Berries.”
