Organically Grown Regenerative Redeemer Wheat Porridge
Our 2026 Redeemer Wheat was planted on October 3, 2025, on Vliet Farm Fields 1-4 into lightly disked soil that had previously been cover cropped with Buckwheat for natural weed suppression and soil fertility. We harvested under perfect conditions on July 1, 2026.
The Regenerative agricultural practices we use at Cold Brook Farm allow us to grow nutrient-dense, delicious food that helps restore the health of soil, people, communities, and planet.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Regenerative farming goes beyond organic. It focuses on practices that actively rebuild soil health, increase biodiversity, and sequester carbon, rather than just avoiding synthetic inputs. At Cold Brook Farm, this means our grain fields are managed to improve the land over time, not just sustain it.
-
Yes. Our grains are available as whole grain berries, coarsely milled porridge, or finely milled flour, so you can choose the format that best fits your recipe from cracked grain porridge to fine sourdough flour.
-
We mill to order whenever possible, so your grain is as fresh as possible when it reaches you.
-
Whole grain berries stay fresh the longest, since the bran and germ are intact and protected.
Once milled into flour or porridge, the exposed bran and germ oils make it more perishable, so we recommend using it within a few weeks to a couple months, or storing it in the fridge or freezer to extend freshness.
